Each competitor faced a number of serious challenges: steep slope terrain, slope orientation to the northeast side what caused a problem with sunlit, atmosphere and human scale of neighborhood ... In the upper zone, we tried several urban variations and we exclude step by step rowhouses because of, the first they create a barrier and the second for their orientation to the cardinal points - we will need to design apartments oriented to both sides of the building (many large apartments) and the view from apartments on the southside would be against the hill right opposite to the building on the upper level , what would degrade the view (problem a la housing development Dlhe diely in Bratislava). Variant of rowhouses oriented perpendicular to the slope we scrapped due to excessive economic disadvantages of the underground parking solution (unnecessarily large cutting). Therefore, we chose a concept that has already proven on the opposite side of the Chestnut grove - core houses. The additional value of the concept is that the apartment houses are semi-enclosed areas where could be placed the staging areas for residents (barbecues, outdoor seating, playgrounds ...). We didn´t want to create a huge private fenced area as the surrounding residential projects. Therefore, we organized houses into several zones, making it possible for non-residents to cross the territory. The narrowest part of the slope, we decided not to place any building because of economical reason there. So we calm the space and create it green, a sort of continuation of Chestnut grove associated with public playground and rest area, which continues down to the junction with the Hrobonova street. In the lower part of the territory at the main road at Budkova street we proposed a public functions such as hotel and office building. Shapes of objects are parallel to Budkova street, thus will dampen the adverse effects of transport on housing, which will thanks to the proposed construction increase in this part of the city. Height of the objects would not obstruct the view to the park hill. Between office building and Chestnut groves we placed three residential core houses the same type as in the upper zone.
